Michael Gower graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Mr. Gower also studied at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, focusing on international law and relations. After college, Mr. Gower continued his education at the University of San Diego School of Law. While at USD, Mr. Gower was a member of the Law Review, externed at the office of the California Attorney General, and studied international law in Florence, Italy. Mr. Gower graduated from USD, cum laude.
After passing the California bar exam, Mr. Gower began his legal career at a prominent international law firm. While there, Mr. Gower gained invaluable legal experience and was involved in matters ranging from complex bad faith insurance litigation, D&O insurance litigation, first amendment cases, breach of contract and employment litigation.
Mr. Gower then shifted his practice area to family law in order to take on a new challenge and to have more direct contact with clients. Mr. Gower has dealt with family law cases ranging from international divorce conflicts, restraining orders, complex high asset division, child custody move away litigation, and collaborative divorce.
